Sarracenia ‘Bug Bat’
Sarracenia 'Bug Bat' is a fully Ohio-hardy, carnivorous plant with quite the appetite – but only for small insects! Upright, tubular leaves vary in color from a sunny chartreuse green at the base, to a rich, autumn red on the hood.
Sarracenia are native to moist, boggy areas, but you can easily recreate that at home with a little gardening trick that we love to share. These are immensely popular for their novelty, and kids are obsessed with them!
Do not fertilize your 'Bug Bat.' They get all the nutrients they need from the small bugs that fall deep into their pitchers!
