This spectacular dinnerplate-style dahlia produces massive, 8- to 10-inch formal decorative blooms that look like they were individually hand-painted with watercolor brushes. Each creamy-white petal is dramatically painted with playful flecks, streaks, and splashes of rich cherry-red and deep magenta-purple. Because no two flowers are ever painted exactly the same, every single bloom that opens on this plant feels like opening a fresh surprise gift!

• LIGHT: Full sun; partial sun

• WATER: Water deeply and thoroughly when soil begins to dry

• ZONE: Zones 8–11 (In Zones 3–7, dig tubers up after the first light frost and store indoors over winter)

• SIZE: 3.5 – 4 feet tall

• GROOVY TIP: Plant 'Avignon' alongside solid, deep burgundy or pure white blooms. The solid surrounding colors will act as natural frame lines, highlighting the chaotic, painterly splashes on every single 'Avignon' bloom!

Notes: Images are a representation of the flower produced by the tuber you will receive. Each plant is unique, and small variations in leaf and plant size, color, etc. is to be expected.
