Earlier this year, we released the cute Arborvitae 'Tater Tot.' This is its bigger brother. Arborvitae 'Mr. Bowling Ball' has quite the history too. This dwarf, evergreen, coniferous shrub entered the world as a witch's broom–a thicket of dense, abnormal growth–on a Thuja occidentalis found in a Pennsylvania cemetery. As far as plants go, this is about as spooky of an origin as you can get. 

'Mr. Bowling Ball' features a perfectly-rounded canopy of feathery, threadlike leaves that requires basically zero pruning to maintain its spherical shape. As an evergreen, you'll get year-round blue-green foliage out of this adorable puffball. 

This evergreen loves deep, consistent waterings and areas outdoors that provide it with full sun exposure. Only reaching a height and spread of 2-3' tall, this shrub is great for a variety of settings in the garden and even makes for a fantastic container plant.
