'All Gold' Japanese Forest Grass is a standout for its showy, vibrant, and consistent chartreuse-gold foliage. The parent plant for this cultivated variety is native to the moist, dewey forest areas of Japan–it also nestles perfectly on the wet, rocky cliffs of the region, enveloping any area that it covers in the soft glow and textural quality of its foliage.

'All Gold' forms covetous clumps of wispy, graceful foliage through underground rhizomes, which spread slowly over time.  'All Gold' is one of the few ornamental grasses that is PERFECT for shade conditions outdoors. This chartreuse grass works best in part shade to full shade areas in the garden, where they love consistent, deep waterings to mimic the naturally wet areas they're native to.
