Rice Cactus | 4" Rhipsalis cereuscula

Rhipsalis cereuscula has all of the features that we love about the genus! Compact stems link to one another like a chain and occasionally throw out long, erratic stems that give it a totally wild look. This jungle cactus gets its common name because its tiny, segmented stems look just like grains of rice.

This epiphytic cactus is native to the tropical rainforests of Central and South America, where they nestle themselves high up in trees underneath the gentle sunlight filtering down from the canopies. Rhipsalis cereuscula loves a spot with bright sunlight indoors and will grow into an impressive mass of pendent, twirling stems.
