This world-famous, award-winning waterlily dahlia is an absolute masterpiece of subtle, complex beauty! Producing 4- to 5-inch blooms, 'Senior's Hope' serves up an incredible dusty palette of antique rose, soft mauve, and warm raspberry on the front of its petals—sharply contrasted by deep, velvety plum-burgundy on the undersides. As the cupped, waterlily-style petals curve slightly inward, they reveal both shades at once, giving every single flower a smoky, two-tone depth

• LIGHT: Full sun; partial sun
• WATER: Water deeply and thoroughly when soil begins to dry

• ZONE: Zones 8–11 (In Zones 3–7, dig tubers up after the first light frost and store indoors over winter)

• SIZE: 3.5 to 4 feet tall

• GROOVY TIP: Plant 'Senior's Hope' where it catches low morning or late-afternoon side-lighting. When sunlight hits the blooms from the side, it pierces through the translucent rose petals while catching the dark purple backs, making the two-tone gradient pop out with dramatic, three-dimensional depth!
