The Gourd-gantuan Guessing Game: Official Rules

Think you know your gourds? Guess the weight of our giant pumpkin to win any plant of your choice valued up to $200!

How to Enter

• In-Person Only: Submissions must be made on official entry slips at the display.

• Limit: One entry per person. Duplicate entries will result in disqualification.

• No Touching: Please do not lift, roll, tilt, or tap the pumpkin. Visual estimates only!

• Contest Dates: Guessing opens Friday, October 2, 2026, and closes Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 5:00 PM.

How the Winner is Chosen

• Scoring: Enter your guess rounded to the nearest whole pound. The entry closest to the official scale weight—either over or under—wins.

• Tie-Breaker: In the event of a tie (multiple exact weights or identical closest distances), all qualifying names will be placed into a random name generator to select the single grand prize winner.

• Official Weigh-In: The pumpkin will be officially weighed following the contest close on October 18.

Prize Details & Conditions

• The Prize: The winner will receive their choice of one (1) in-stock plant with a retail value up to $200.00.

• Conditions: The prize carries no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, store credit, or gift cards. If a plant under $200 is selected, the remaining balance is forfeited. If a plant exceeding $200 is selected, the winner may pay the retail difference.

• Claiming the Prize: The winner will be notified via phone and/or email. If the winner cannot be reached or does not respond within 14 days, the prize may be awarded to the next closest guess. Prize must be picked up in person.
