GPR is lucky to have a beautiful one room schoolhouse on the grounds. It was built as the Pagetown school in 1869 and was a one room schoolhouse until some time in 1910’s. Throughout the past century, the building has been used for a variety of purposes, like a general store and grain storage before it fell into disrepair. The building was fully rehabbed in the late 90’s by Ron Russell and Jeff and Tami Russell. We are now the stewards of this amazing piece of local history and are again using it as a classroom.

Private Classes & Workshops

We are happy to offer private sessions for any of our classes; current or past, provided we have supplies. Most classes have a 10 person minimum requirement for a private event, and pricing is based on the project. This is a great option for childrens parties, bachelorette parties, small reunions, etc. Contact us today to learn more!

Wedding Showers - Baby Showers - Small Parties

The schoolhouse is a unique place to host a party or shower. It’s garden color scheme and local history will add memories to any event. Rental of the building is $50 for 1-4 hours and $100 for 4-8.  At this time, the amenities for the building are pretty sparse (ie. no running water or refrigeration) and the restroom is a portable bathroom.

We soon hope to offer more amenities with the schoolhouse rental. Contact us today to schedule your next event!
